As the father of an extraordinary young woman and as an entrepreneur who's worked tirelessly over the past 17 years to build a creative video agency with clients all over the globe, how could I say "no" when our good friends at Girls Preparatory School (GPS) asked if we'd help promote their Mad, Bad and Dangerous community luncheon with a pro-bono project? It was a no-brainer.

The seed of Mad, Bad and Dangerous was planted by Girls Preparatory School Head of School Dr. Autumn Adkins Graves in 2014. She challenged the all-girls school to be a place where Chattanooga-area women could discover the resources necessary for an entrepreneurial journey and find support from local and national experts. After all, she reasoned, GPS was founded by three women, social entrepreneurs, who wanted girls to have equal access to a college preparatory education. The conference, designed to establish the female voice in technology, startups, and business, was built upon that legacy.

The Assignment

Led by Mandy Senn and Bilda Small, the GPS communications team was tasked with producing an eye-catching and engaging television commercial that would help drive ticket sales for their Mad, Bad and Dangerous community luncheon which featured a keynote speech by a nationally recognized and super-successful businesswoman.

Based on her experience with promoting events in a past role at the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, Senn knew the team at 6 STRONG MEDIA would be able to meet and exceed their creative expectations and could deliver the project within the extremely tight time frame required to get the commercial on the air with local television stations.

The Creative

In order for the television commercial to accurately reflect the Mad, Bad & Dangerous brand, GPS provided us with the same high-resolution graphics that had already been used in their website, social media, billboard and print marketing efforts. They also took care of writing a production-ready voiceover script which helped us hit the ground running once the project was under way.

With all creative ingredients in hand, 6 STRONG MEDIA's Chris Braly and Johnny Stockman went to work developing a bright, edgy and in-your-face animation concept that would get the attention of GPS's target audience and persuade people to purchase tickets for the upcoming Mad, Bad & Dangerous community luncheon.

The Mad, Bad & Dangerous community luncheon was held on March 11, 2016 at the Chattanooga Convention and Trade Center.

The Delivery

After completing the television commercial prior to the final deadline, we uploaded the file to our online video platform and notified GPS that it was ready to review. They were blown away with our chosen animation treatment and immediately approved the project with zero revisions. (We love when that happens!) At that point, we created a "broadcast master" of the finished commercial and provided it to them for distribution to the various television stations.

The Result

The Mad, Bad and Dangerous community luncheon was a huge success and the television commercial produced by 6 STRONG MEDIA contributed to helping Girls Preparatory School exceed it's revenue goals for the event.
